Bitcoin's promise — verify, don't trust — should fit in your pocket. Every design decision in this app serves that promise: the real bitcoind, unmodified consensus code, keys that never leave the device.
Bitcoin Core 30.3 cross-compiled for arm64. Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on top. One RPC client, two transports. No analytics SDKs, no trackers, no shortcuts. The architecture docs ship with the app listing.
No accounts, no servers, no data collection — ever. The app is MIT-licensed software built on Bitcoin Core, which is also MIT. We change neither consensus nor wallet code.
Honesty about money is part of the honesty about code.
Today, the app shows a small number of ads. They exist for one reason: to fund development of a self-custody full-node wallet — software that is genuinely expensive to build and maintain, and that we refuse to put behind a subscription or an account.
The plan is to remove them. Once the project is self-sustaining — through donations and adoption — the ads go away entirely, and the app becomes completely free in every sense. Every donation directly shortens that timeline.
What we will never do regardless of funding: sell your data (we don't collect any), add trackers or analytics, or put features behind an account. The privacy policy is short for a reason.
